Complete Long-Range Package + Spare Airframe

This listing is for a professional-grade, heavy-lift hybrid UAV system designed for extreme endurance and long-range missions. This package includes one fully equipped SkyFront Perimeter 8+ LRS (Long Range System) system and a secondary Perimeter 8+ Spare Airframe, providing a complete operational fleet with redundancy. The system has been flown for a total of 90 hours as part of a BVLOS koala survey project (now concluded), and is no longer needed. Manufactured in 2023/24.

Primary Aircraft: Perimeter 8+ LRS

The flagship of the SkyFront line, the Perimeter 8+ utilises a hybrid gas-electric powertrain for industry-leading flight times.

• Performance & Upgrades:
  • Plus (+) Upgrade: Includes upgraded motors, 10X induction system, and an enhanced Power Distribution Board.
  • Max Payload: 22 lb (10 kg).
  • Operational Limits: Max altitude of 13,000 ft (4,000 m) and temps up to 122°F (50°C).
  • Propulsion: 8-rotor variant with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI).
• Inbuilt Sensors:
  • FPV System: Fixed-mount, non-gimballed situational awareness cameras on both units.
  • LIDAR Ready: Partial LIDAR setup with GNSS rerouting already performed for future integration.
  • GPS: High-integrity SBAS GPS with RAIM layer for fault exclusion and fast Time-to-First-Fix (TTFF).
• Comms & Control:
  • Range: 2.4 GHz control with a 50 km (30 mile) range.
  • Antenna System: Upgraded Ground Antenna System with seamless Omni-Directional/Sectored transition, based on Silvus 4200 2x2 MIMO radios.
  • Radios: Mesh-capable for resilient networking.
• Safety & Compliance:
  • NDAA Compliant: Made in the USA.
  • Ping 1090i ADS-B Transceiver: Integrated GPS/Transponder to detect and transmit aircraft positions within a 100-mile radius.
  • Lighting Kit: GCS-controlled Navigation lights (Red/Green) and dual-surface white strobes.
  • Failsafe: Extended Battery Backup allowing 10–15 minutes of battery-only flight.
• Redundancy, Spare Parts & Maintenance Equipment:
  • Secondary Aircraft: Perimeter 8+ (Spare/Shell) configured as a duplicate of the primary airframe.
  • Spare Parts & Maintenance Kit: Engine/Generator, fuel filters, spark plugs, air filters, carbon fibre valve plates, tension petals.
